Michael R. Branum

Attorney Michael R. Branum focuses on family law matters including, Divorce, Custody, Adoption, Guardianship, Protective Orders, and Name Changes. Before joining Bangerter Frazier Group law firm, Mike practiced family law and misdemeanor & felony criminal defense in private practice before going into local government law. As a city attorney, Mike provided counsel on a wide variety of municipal legal issues and prosecuted misdemeanor crimes at the justice court level. Mike is licensed to practice law in UT,  AZ, and NV.

An immigrant from the deep South, Mike has lived and worked in Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina, Alaska, and Nevada before landing in St. George, Utah. Mike spent most of his adult life in the public safety field serving as a firefighter, paramedic, and fire chief before attending law school at UNLV. Mike has been a registered nurse for over twenty years primarily providing care in the emergency setting. In addition to practicing law, Attorney Mike Branum works in behavioral health with adolescent clients. Mike’s medical and emergency response background give him a unique perspective and set of skills with which to approach clients’ legal crises. When not working, Mike enjoys acting as a wedding officiant and spending time with his wife and their two energetic Pomeranian's, usually watching true crime, cooking shows, or other reality TV.
