Ayanna Franzen

Paralegal

Grew up in Orange County before it was the O.C. , therefore an unhealthy love of Disneyland and all things Disney.

Attended college at UC Santa Barbara and was a part of the student dance company that had the honor of performing at the Kennedy Center.

After college moved to Los Angeles to attend law school at UCLA and help run a dance studio.

Final destination before St. George was Ventura County, CA where worked in the Financial Industry and also at a local school choreographing musicals.

Love spending time with my daughter, traveling anywhere and watching movies in the theater or at home, with popcorn always. Also, enjoy exploring art museums and anyplace involving my love language which is food.

Melissa Strate

Paralegal

A Utah native, I was raised on the farms of small-town Utah, which I still get to call home. I always had a draw to the energy of big city life, and after high school I spent a year in New York City, where I loved exploring a new part of the city’s boroughs every day. I later moved to Cedar City to attend SUU, where I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a minor in Legal Studies. While Perry Mason and true crime shows sparked my interest in the legal field, it’s the complexities of the law that continue to fuel my passion for it. When I’m not at the office helping clients through litigation, I’m spending time with my 12-year-old son. We love enjoying the outdoor beauty of Southern Utah—whether we're camping or paddling the lakes in the summer, or hitting the slopes at Brianhead and cuddling up to a good movie with (homemade!) popcorn in the winter. And of course, our love bug Rottweiler, Dozer, is always along for the adventure!

Stephanie Purcell

Legal Assistant

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Stephanie is a die-hard Steelers fan and fluent in “yinzer.” She earned her BS in Business Management from BYU in 2008 and has worked in HR, admin, creative, and marketing for multiple Utah-based companies before landing at BFG. Copywriting and editing are her areas of expertise; she’ll gladly talk grammar rules and the beauty of the Oxford Comma with anyone willing. Mom to 4, she and her husband James enjoy traveling and finding their way out of escape rooms. She loves reading, writing poetry, dark chocolate, and true crime/survival podcasts.

Tina Otto

Legal Assistant

Tina has been married to her husband for 25 years and is a proud mother of two children and grandmother to seven. Family is at the heart of her life, and she treasures every moment spent with them. Outside of family time, Tina enjoys reading and listening to books, especially mystery fiction and taking walks with her dog Leia. Professionally, Tina has worked across several fields, with the majority of her career dedicated to education as a special education teacher for 15 years, followed by 10 years in the non-profit sector. She is enthusiastic about the journey ahead with BFG and looks forward to where it will lead.

Marketing Director

Mike grew up in central coast California. He has a background in graphic arts and print media.

Mike attended UC Santa Barbara Extensions, for graphic design.

He is an official ambassador for T.H.E. Show (a High End HiFi & home audio trade show.) and co-host of T.H.E. Radio.

He enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three kids, collecting and listening to vinyl records, and playing guitar in the band Identity Crisis.

Mike handles Social Media/Marketing, SEO and Website Administration for BFG.
